California Western School of Law
225 Cedar Street, San Diego

California Western School of Law is San Diego’s oldest law school, which for nine decades has worked with the legal profession to design a curriculum that prepares graduates for the practice of law.  One of 14 law schools in the nation that guarantees a clinical experience for every student, the school offers 10 clinics where students represent actual clients in criminal, immigration, trademark, legal aid, and internet law.

California Western School of Law is committed to using the law to solve human and societal problems, and makes significant, measurable contributions to the solution of problems in the community, society, and the world. Among these contributions is the California Innocence Project, which to date has helped free eight wrongly convicted people from prison since 2000. Its commitment to public service has been recognized by the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll and the State Bar of California.

Located in downtown San Diego, the law school currently serves approximately 650 J.D. students. The law school has been recognized by National Jurist magazine as being among the best in the nation for Bar Exam preparation and for student diversity.

Friday, March 13, Evening
2001 Pan American Plaza, San Diego

Located in Balboa Park, the San Diego Air & Space Museum is dedicated to preserving significant artifacts of air and space history and technology, and inspiring excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Its mission is to educate the public about the historical and social significance of air and space technology and engage its promise for the future, celebrating aviation and space flight history and technology.

Aviation history is truly a remarkable story, and it all unfolds at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. The journey through the history of flight begins with a model of the Montgolfier brothers’ hot air balloon of 1783—the first manned vehicle in recorded history to break the bonds of gravity and lift humans above the Earth. Rare specimens of aircraft suggest the excitement of air combat in the World War I Gallery. The Golden Age of Flight Gallery features the entertaining and dangerous antics of the barnstormers of the 1920s. A Spitfire Mk. XVI, a Navy F6F Hellcat, and an A-4 Skyhawk jet are among the beautifully restored airplanes that help visitors appreciate the increasingly complex technology represented in the classic military aircraft of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Finally, the Museum’s display of space age technology, like the desire to journey to the stars, may never be finished, for it represents an adventure which the human race has truly just begun.

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is the official Air & Space Museum of California, and one of only fourteen recognized Smithsonian affiliates. In addition to the robust ongoing displays and restorations efforts, the San Diego Air & Space Museum also hosts travelling events and exhibits, such as the Centennial of Naval Aviation Exhibit and the Atlas Rocket Exhibit.
